![]() ![]() ![]() Most sections of the armour are either held in place by the friction of the foam padding (Forearms, shins), with velcro (Biceps and shoulder pads), or with buckles and 40mm wide elastic/cotton webbing (Torso underarms, Belt, Thighs), most of which were done after painting. If there's enough interest, I might make a chart (Or spreadsheet that you can enter your height in) to show the required scaling factor for each part. Just make sure that when taking measurements, the line of sight should be perpendicular to the section of armour you are viewing, for instance, the image I used below would be unsuitable for scaling the forearms (Better to use in-game screenshots). Determine your height in mm, then add about 20mm (For the helmet), then scale a reference picture of your spartan model so that the number of pixels = the height in mm You can then use a measuring tool to draw lines against the individual pieces and see what length they should be, and you'll end up with a set of armour that is both proportionally accurate and fits like a glove. I developed a method that worked pretty much perfectly every time. Getting the correct size for all your armour sections right first time will save you a lot of time. ![]() I also would assume that anyone with any experience at 3D modeling would do a much better job at putting together a detailed and visually pleasing model than I would, so I am still holding out hope. There are 2 files for the forearm, I used 'Forearm', but 'Forearm 2' looks like a better designed model. But, I would rather be spending my time making the thing than trying to learn 3D modelling. If there are no models to be found, which I realize may be the case, I CAN teach myself 3D modelling and make myself up something usable. I just really want to make this with a good solid pep build. I also found the scratch built scout build on this forum, it looks AMAZING! Unfortunately I feel my freehand foam cutting / sculpting skills would lead me down a very long and dark path of destruction that would not lend itself to actually making anything wearable, ever. I am hoping you could help point me in the right direction for some possibilities for this armor? The 405th forums are down now (right after I post there about my build) and I am getting pretty stuck. I have perused the 405th pepakura file database, and the HALO costuming wiki, and google-fued the heck out of my computer (seriously, my browser history is ridiculous, and my anti-virus has been going off-the-chain). Unfortunately I am having difficulties finding any 3D models or pepakura files for the scout and Sarah Palmer variants of the MJOLNIR GEN2 armors. I am trying to make a Sarah Palmer build from HALO 4 for myself, along with a scout variant build for my husband. ![]()
